Professional Services Portfolio Building and Facilities Demolition Projects Neglia Group developed specifications and coordinated hazardous materials identification and removal procedures that were bundled into public bid solicitations/documents for qualified contractors to respond to and remove the structures for new improvements. Neglia's role has been to bring the demolition phase of these projects from initial scoping through site restoration along with coordination and review of contractor payment vouchers. Project Examples: • Wesmont at Wood-Ridge — former airplane factory has been demolished and serves as a 10acre recreational complex. Neglia coordinated demolition and site preparation for the athletic fields. • West Passaic Avenue in Rutherford — Neglia solicited quotes from qualified contractor for the demolition of an existing dental office and existing site improvements to make space for a new police headquarters. • Ridge Road in Rutherford — Neglia solicited quotes to remove a derelict fire damaged abandoned building that has since been redeveloped to a two family structure. • Orchard Street in Carlstadt — Neglia solicited quotes to demolish a house and increase the capacity of an existing unused lot, thus expanding the area for a new community park. Professional Services Portfolio Master Plans & Redevelopment Projects Neglia Group has a long history of working with communities. We understand the sensitivity of changes in communities and work closely with elected officials, residents, and stakeholders to create a process that is open, informative and transparent. Our team represents a number of communities in Bergen and Passaic County and adjacent communities in various consulting roles. Project Summary Green Forest Park Improvements Township of Scotch Plains, New Jersey The Township of Scotch Plains acquired Neglia Group to provide Engineering Design, Bidding Services and Construction Management services for the Green Forest Park Improvement project, as well as Boundary and Topographic Surveys. The township desired to reconstruct and re-purpose the existing tennis courts. The park that was once only four asphalt tennis courts was in need of repair now consists of a tennis court, pickle ball courts, an outdoor in-line hockey rink with a futsol (hard court soccer) court, as well as bleachers, asphalt walkways, and fencing for the courts and rink. Project Summary Oak Ridge Park Improvements Township of Clark, New Jersey The County of Union selected Neglia Group to provide Design Engineering services for improvements to the 12-acre Oak Ridge Park located in Clark, NJ. Formally a farmstead, and briefly a golf course in the late 1900s, the passive park now features an eight-lane collegiate running track, a full size soccer/lacrosse field, new bleachers for up to 800 fans, a press box, and a 3,000 square foot field house that accommodates both lockers, bathrooms, and concessions. The park is also equipped for hammer throw, discuss, high jump, and pole vault competitions and has lighting for night rivalries. Neglia also provided services for the design of a new parking lot and an underground storm water detention area. As needed, Neglia worked in consultation with various sub-consultants for environmental and historical landscaping services. Project Summary Kennedy Park Playground Improvements Borough of Norwood, New Jersey Neglia Group has been involved in many different projects at Kennedy Field in Norwood, including the playground's improvement. Engineering, Survey, GIS, and Landscape Architecture services allowed for the installation of a modular block retaining wall, a chain link fence, a concrete sidewalk, a pour-in-place safety surface, and playground equipment. The new playground is designed to be ADA-compliant and is wheelchair accessible. The site has other unique features, like a landscaped seat wall and picnic area. Additionally, a raised landscape terrace design saved several mature trees during construction.
