140-25 May 20, 2025 RESOLUTION Award One 2019 Model Year or Newer, Used 25-Passenger Ford E450 Cab with Glaval Jitney Type Bus or Equivalent WHEREAS, the West Orange Transportation Department, division of the Department of Public works requested a backup Jitney bus due to increase of passengers, necessitating the addition of more buses, and WHEREAS, specifications for One 2019 model year or newer, used 25-passenger Ford E450 Cab with Glaval Jitney type bus or equivalent was advertised pursuant to the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law (N. J. S. 40A:11-23); and WHEREAS, at the date, time and place advertised for the opening of said bids, the Township did receive one bid; and WHEREAS, the Township Purchasing Agent has verified that the successful bidder has complied with the bid specifications and is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the West Orange Department of Transportation and the Interim Business Administrator have reviewed the bids and are satisfied with the product and cost and has further considered the recommendation of the Township Purchasing Agent as to the award of the said bid; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Municipal Council of the Township of West Orange that the purchase of One 2019 model year or newer, used 25-passenger Ford E450 Cab with Glaval Jitney type bus or equivalent is hereby awarded to: Wolfington Body Company, Inc located at 1315 Route 38, Mount Holly, NJ 08060 in the amount of not to exceed $50,000.00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Business Administrator is hereby authorized to arrange to pay for said vehicle with the terms of a purchase order on behalf of the West Orange from funds certified available by the Chief Financial Officer. ________________________________ Karen Carnevale, R.M.C.
